I went to check out the library this afternoon, and as I headed back to my room, I had to pass the kitchen to get there. And I spotted a jar filled with chocolate Clif Bars. Josh the Cook must have picked them up today. I used some bionic counting skills and immediately realized there were eleven bars…

One for each monk, Lenny the Intern, and me.

I was famished. The fruit and soup diet had me craving these bars.

Maybe the monks don’t even know about them.

Maybe Josh just put them out.

Maybe monks don’t even like Clif Bars.

All kinds of thoughts were flying into my head.

And honestly my hand went into the jar to grab one, just one. But…

I sinned.

I took all eleven bars back to my room and ate three before heading out…
